The Interview is your opportunity to demonstrate your skills and abilities to a potential employer. The second interview is the most important and requires the highest level of communication skills. The secret to the successful interview is to control without being controlling. It can be a stressful situation unless you are prepared. Interview preparation requires work and practice to be effective. Most job seekers approach the interview as an interrogation session conducted by the interviewer. If this is the belief going-in then it will be an interrogation and your interview will result in disappointment. Keep in mind that an interviewing manager is not looking to hire someone to fill a slot; they are looking for someone that can solve their problems.
How do you answer the following questions?
“How much salary are you looking for?”
“Why did you leave your last job?”
“What is your greatest strength?”
“What is your greatest weakness?”
“Don’t you think you are over qualified for this position?”
Seemingly simple questions, they are designed to eliminate you from contention. There are only two questions ever asked in an interview, if you don’t recognize them, your answers will most likely disqualify you.
Learn the reason these questions are asked, and how to answer them in the context of who you are.
Learn how to get through the phone interview to get the face-to-face interview.
My interview skills training will provide you with the skills necessary to stand out above all other candidates because you learn to answer the questions in the context of who you are.
